Become a Child Ambassador

All ambassadors have one thing in common, they take the children we serve where we could not otherwise go, communicating in a voice, we cannot duplicate with people we would not otherwise meet.

They have all been personally affected by our ministry. And they each have a unique perspective on the loving and powerful impact of Jesus Christ.

Does this resonate with you? Then keep reading to find out how you can get involved!

As a child ambassador you will:

  • Help more children by sharing the life-changing work of child sponsorship with others.
  • Join a community of people like you – who care about helping children through child sponsorship.
  • Be equipped with tools and ideas to help you find new sponsors among your family and friends.
  • You can even earn a chance to see LNFI’s work in the field by getting sponsorships!

Child Ambassador FAQs

Child Ambassadors recruit on a seasonal basis. Our next application window will open in March.

All kinds of ways! Child Ambassadors schedule coffee with friends and family, host dinner parties, display their sponsorship materials on their desk at work, plan events at their church, and so much more. When you get started as a CA, we'll give you tons of ideas to get started, and your CA coach will help you come up with a plan.

We'll connect you to a Child Ambassador coach in your geographic region who will show you the ropes. We'll provide you with a personal online fundraising page, and add you to the Child Ambassador private Facebook group where you'll share ideas and be inspired. We'll also start you off with a series of training emails, loaded with tools and materials to assist you. And finally, we'll send you a kit in the mail with our best tools - including a handbook with all the information you'll need.

The average Child Ambassador spends about 1-2 hours a week, and that includes a balance between learning and prepping and actually going out into their communities to talk about sponsorship. Being a Child Ambassador can be integrated into your daily life, but it does require some time to be intentional about learning and asking!
